In My Mailbox (42) + Vlog

GOOD MORNING, ladies and Fred, it is Sunday and of course that means it's time for IN MY MAILBOX. I can't tell you how excited I am! *SQUEE*

But, I'd like to address something first. Something I didn't get to say last week due to the lack of IMMish awesomeness. So, a little note: Plagarism is wrong, yada yada yada. I don't like it, don't condone it. We all get that and more, right? Kristi at The Story Siren sucked for doing what she did, but that doesn't change a) she's still a nice, friendly person b) her blog posts are still enjoyable and c) IMM is still fun.

In My Mailbox is for me. Sure, Kristi came up with it - heck, she inspired me with her weekly vlogs - but I participate because I LOVE doing it - watching/doing posts and vlogs has been known to get me out of a truly heinous blogging funk. So, with that said, let's all be respectful and just continue to do what this meme is all about: talking about books... A LOT and having fun! 'Kay?

Edit: My reaction, as a Tumblr person once said, was nothing short of:

Pathetic or not, this is the most thrilling, exciting, wonderful thing that's happened to me ALL WEEK. #TheLegendOfKorra, baby! Makorra FTW.

Woa, awesome bunch of books his week (as always)! I'm super jealous you're reading Golden Lily right now. It seems like it was ages ago that I've read anything from the VA series. Enjoy your books!

MAKORRA KISS! I felt so bad for Bolin :/. But was also immensely happy because Mako obviously likes Korra :P.

So many awesome books! Honestly. The Last Princess and Glitch both sound amazing - and I can't wait to read Scarlet! Plus yay for more Artemis Fowl! The last book is out soon, I'm so excited. Happy reading :).

Asher, thank you. I loved doing IMM before, and it won't affect of me doing it now. I admit, I kind of have been scared to do it.. but now, I just don't care what others think. This is what I want, and that's my opinion. Whether or not people choose to visit my post or not doesn't matter.. I won't be forced to change to something else because of something Kristi did. Yes, it was wrong. We know that.. but I think everyone needs to move on. It' the past.. she shouldn't have to pay for it forever.

LOVE your books! SO SO jealous you have The Golden Lily!
I am waiting for my copy of Insurgent to arrive.. and in the mean time I am re-reading Divergent, since my mind is blank at what happened..

I have Immortal City, which I got a few weeks ago.. but will start it at some point. LOL
Unravelling.. Yes, I need to get that one soon.

YAY! I HEART YOU TOO!! SO GLAD YOU LIKE THE GOLDEN LILY!!! I just screamed at you, but I'm hoping you heard that from the opposite side of the US. EPIC book week, my friend. Holy crap. And I'm in love with your vlogs. And I need to see what this The Legend of Korra is all about...

I don't think she was the first one who thought it but anyway...

I'm here for the bookies and i can only see Korra!! omg omg omg! Is it bad that i'm more excited about it than the books you got? Even though Golden Lily is in XD
You got a lot of awesome things! Happy Reading (and watching if you haven't watch the episode yet!)

Okay, I'm trying very hard not to freak out here.
I missed the last episode of Korra because at the time I was at and all-boys school to take the SATs for the first time. (Surprisingly all-boys schools are a lot cleaner and nicer than co-ed one)  I've been studying all that week, thus no blog posts or reading time. :/

You got SO many good books this week! Golden Lily, Insurgent (which I'm going to go buy soon-ish), The Last Echo (which I really need to start reading but haven't gotten to). Lol, I haven't gotten any new books which is awesome since AP exams are coming up and I already have about 15 books I REALLY want to read on my TBR list.

I've been reading small portions of Bloodlines all last week and still haven't finished it yet. *sighs* School needs to end now so I could start reading books again. >_>

1. I can't even comment on all of the books. I, I just can't. Too much awesome.

2. I also can't even comment on Korra. Too much awesome.

I am gonna stop being embarrassed to admit I haven't read anything by RMead. But seriously I haven't. But I am DYING to. I just need to fit it in somewhere. SOMEWHERE. There are ALL THE BOOKS, ya know? So little time.

Not sure why your blog hasn't been showing up in my reader. I'm having this problem with two other blogs that I love. I'm working on trying to fix it. I WILL BE BACK to work backwards on these posts. I WILL. It may take me a little time, but I'LL BE BACK, Terminator-style.

UGH, that last episode of Korra was a killer. D: it was so awesome that they kissed, like asdfghkl;, but then BOLIN. so many feelings...And I've been dying to read Insurgent, ever since I recently finished Divergent. :) hope you enjoy it!

Christy @TheReaderBee said...

Wow, you really did have an amazing book week! So many awesome new books, I hope you enjoy them all!

My husband was excited about Korra as well. ;)

"I like people!" LOL ASHER <3 I LIKE YOU.

So I reaaaally need to read Scarlet if you liked it so much! I was never a huge Robin Hood fan but who cares? GOOD BOOKS FTW. And ahhh, Wake! You've already read it? What did you think? I'm excited for it even though I've never read anything by Amanda Hocking (I have ofc heard the screams and declarations to love though). I read The Body Finder last year and really, really enjoyed it but now I'm nervous to continue because of all the negativity I've heard about Desires of the Dead. Still though... Jay's there. I guess I could sacrifice for that.
