Feature & Follow's 100th Week!

If you are a regular reader of Paranormal Indulgence, you'll know that I rarely participate in feature and follow, and it's been QUITE a WHILE. But, lately, what with Armchair BEA going on, I find myself in the mood to meet more bloggers and hopefully reach out and possibly meet potential homies! It has been too long!

NO, NANA, I WILL NOT BE YOUR HOMEY *SCOFFS*
This week is ULTRASUPERMEGAUBERSPECIAL for Rachel @ Parajunkee and Alison @ Alison Can Read, because *dramatic pause*

THIS WEEK marks their 100 week anniversary! *cartwheels* *fumbles* Isn't that just SO EXCITING? And you know what makes it better? They're throwing in one cool little addendum—there is a giveaway hop attached to this bad boy!YUP. You heard right, ladies, Bob, Fred, and George. So be sure to slow your roll and catch up with both Parajunkee and Alison Can Read for tons of linkage to all the fab giveaway specials of the day! They do look promising indeed.

This week's scary and daunting topic is, in a nutshell, choosing your favorite blog or blogger to represent and spotlight, featuring them on our amazing blogs. I, however, am incapable of following this directive accordingly or without qualifying. A LOT.

PLEASE DON'T MAKE ME SWIM AND CHOOSE. IT'S. TOO. MUCH.
So, of course, in typical silly Asher fashion, I must bend the rules a bit to escape the pressure. Although I won't mention any names (because, so help me, THERE ARE JUST TOO MANY), I will list to you what I do look for, and what makes me a returning visitor, in a blog.

1. Be Yourself and Shizz
Yes, I know, they practically stitch this motto into your uniform polo at school, BUT IT'S TRUE. Be one with the Koolaid, because it's good stuff. I like variety, I like quirks, and I'm friendly toward all sorts of opinions. I enjoy reading blogs written by people who aren't afraid to shed some light on themselves.

2. *GUFFAW* I Found a Kevin Hart Alternative
I've got a serious... THING, for funny people. When there's a great sense of humor and IT SHOWS, I come back to your blog daily for a pick-me-up and raucous laughter. In the world of blogging, it's pretty darn difficult to grasp originality, and I find that humor is everyone's best bet, because everyone has a different sense of it.

3. Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is
Who doesn't like a nice heaping plate of honesty? Honesty in reviews is great. But, let's take it one step further: showing honesty. The person who tells me a book is FANTASTIC, that I should totally buy it and blah blah blah puts the book on the radar, but this person doesn't persuade me to buy it until I see his or her active campaign. He or she has bought the book, tweeted, rallied, bullied. I can admire, respect, and trust that.

4. Don't Give Me Your Sugar, Take Me to Friendlys
A blogger who is not only real and down to earth, hilarious, and honest and proactive are great pluses and will make me a returning club member, but kindness and friendliness? That goes even WAY longer with me. If this person can take themselves away from the praise and spotlight to talk to me, respond and engage then I'm signing up for the I'M FOREVER YOURS Membership Card.
And you might be wondering where's number five? But, you see, ending with the number five is too ordinary. Let's spice things up... and forget about the lack in me when I created this GROUNDBREAKING list.

Got something specific in mind? Dare I believe I might NOT have covered something you wish to know? If so, let me know down in the comments section. Don't be shy! I'll be sure to drop by over the weekend!

Hey! Just wanted to check in and tell you that - with me at least - your "rules" totally work! Loved this post, especially the honesty and originality of this post :) and will totally come back here for a daily portion of it from now on :P

You KNOW I come to your blog for all these things. The humour especially. You should be on TV.
Also, honesty in reviews, yesssss! If I see a blog where every book gets five stars, my immediate reaction is o_O. Have a great weekend! (Korra tomorrow <3)
