Something Lovely Under the Stamps (47) + Vlog (26)

Getting Personal
*waves impatiently* OH, MAN. It's been SO long. I haven't done a vlog for you guys in quite a while, and I've missed it. Sadly, things have been pretty stressful lately, what with moving and reading and blog event planning...

Yes, that's right. I have a big event planned for next month to celebrate my birthday and to kind of hold onto what's left of the summer. BE EXCITED.

Giveaway Announcements
Before we get into all the haul-ish goodness, I'd like to happily announce the winners of the two giveaways that closed recently. The first is for signed copies of A Midsummer's Nightmare and Shut Out by Kody Keplinger. And the winner is...

The second announcement is for a copy of The Assassin's Curse by Cassandra Rose Clarke, and the winner is...

A round of applause, please. You two peeps make sure to email me your mailing info within the next forty eight hours to officially claim your prizes, else I'll have to choose other winners (boo!).

Next Exciting Reading Escapade
City of Lost Souls is about to get it's turn, and YOU GUYS, I've been dying to get my Jace and Clary fix. There are only a few REALLY REALLY good Sexy Times in series and the Mortal Instruments series definitely falls under that category.

Plus, I want to know: what the frak happened to Jace at the end of CoFA? What does it mean? How will Clary DEAL? And will there be more Alec and Magnus time? THESE ARE ALL QUESTIONS BOMBARDING MY CRANIUM.

After that, I will be tackling the Heirs of Prophecy series by Michael A. Rothman, to ensure I read both books in time for the blog tour!

Beginning Next Week July 30, 2012
I hijacked this idea from The Book Smugglers...

On Monday, I have a teaser video about next month's event going on. I want to stir your appetites so that you're all frantic and ravenous and eager for next month's happenings. ;)

On Tuesday, we're all celebrating this month's Bloggers' Choice pick, which, if you haven't NOTICED, is Susan Dennard's Something Strange and Deadly. I adore Dennard and her book, so I was secretly ecstatic that ya'll picked this one as your most anticipated release! As a thank you, Susan has put together an awesome vlog answering some of my questions. Oh yeah, expect a cool little giveaway. Like, DUH.

On Wednesday, it's the Heirs of Prophecy blog tour! This is a middle grade fantasy series that I can't wait to start because a) LOVE THE FANTASY and b) I'm determined to feel out more middle grade novels. With my review there will be a guest post written by Michael Rothman AND a super fabulous giveaway!

On Thursday, I'll be reviewing one of my most anticipated to-read books, which is City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare, the fifth book in the Mortal Instruments series!

On Friday, I'll finally be posting up my thoughts on Glitch by Heather Anastasiu, the first book in the Glitch series, which releases August 7, 2012 from St. Martin's Griffin. It's about a young girl living in a world where there is no color, no emotions until her hardware starts glitching and a boy (or two) gets involved.

Last, on Saturday, I'll, AT LONG LAST, have upcoming releases updates for the week and a trailer funtage ready for you.

Catty Business
And the final item on the agenda is this week's first strip of cat pics. This is a more mild setting for our handsome duo:

I'm hoping to grab a snapshot of them actually acting catty. These bros have the best nightly kung-fu battles a girl could ever ask for.
What was your week like?

Don't be shy about leaving comments down below in the comment section to tell me all about your bookish adventures of the week! Or just to say hi or whaddup... I'm down with that.

SO. MUCH. AWESOME. I've heard nothing but fabulous things about most of your new reads, Asher! I have Speechless, too, through NG, and an ARC of The Dark Unwinding, both of which I CANNOT WAIT to read.

I hope everything goes great with your move!
